Paris Vogue’s 90th Anniversary Bash ~ a fashion fantasy explosion of sheer gowns, and amazing masks!

A masquerade ball party inside the sumptuous Hôtel Pozzo Di Borgo,
celebrated 90 years of Vogue Paris.
The theme of the party was disguise, and the fashion crowd clearly relished the assignment.
There were wild, feathered headgear, sequins, and full-body regalia.
“It’s just great that people really played the game,” editor Carine Roitfeld said. “You can’t recognize a lot of them because of their masks. I think that’s really exciting.”
Carine Roitfeld and son Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld ~ the editrix herself was holding court, in a transparent leopard-print Givenchy number.
At the bal masqué the faces were obscured, and not much else was. Sheer—which has been all over the Spring runways—was the look of the night.
“French Vogue doesn’t have very many limits, and they still have the potential to be scandalous. You gotta love that unconventional attitude.”

Gisele Bundchen in a lacy half-mask by Philip Treacy. “I had nothing to wear, and now I look like I have one eye, but that’s OK,” the supermodel laughed on her way to the dance floor.

And if you are an Anna della Russo fan, see her getting ready for the ball in my previous post. I know this is so 2010, but I found it in Vogue Australia’s January 2011 issue, and love a masquerade party.
