Gorgeous old objects and beautiful furniture contrast the whimsy of the white walls in this charming farm house. Peaceful and highly situated on a small hill in southern Sweden. The lake is within walking distance and the community just a few minutes away by bike.
Mauritz farm is home to Ida and Kristoffer Olofsgård. Ida owns the interior design store Sockerklaras in Sävsjö, Sweden.
Mauritz farm is built in the early 1800s, but the timber and wood is taken from the old court house in a neighboring village. When it was dismantled there was enough material for two houses, one Mauritz farm is one. The house has was a tranquil peaceful atmosphere and so much of the old left. But there are no old ghosts left and rattles, Ida jokes.
Ida and Kristoffer renovated their old timber-frame farmhouse by painting all the interiors pure white. The rustic wood details, leather, vintage and shabby-chic furniture make this house friendly and charming.
